Ivy

I'm clearing an area in my garden that's been covered with Ivy. I'm removing as much of the roots as is possible.
Can you tell me, if there are any Ivy roots - or parts of the root - left in the ground, can it regenerate and form new growths?

Yes it can! You could treat it with a brushkiller..

Will there still be some Ivy left in your garden, Hank when you have cleared this area?

Just asking as Ivy is a great plant for wildlife.

Thanks for your advice. I'll dig as many of the roots out as I can. I have some brushwood killer, I'll treat the area as well.

On the opposite side of the garden we have a large area of Ivy, also an Oak tree covered in it. I agree about its usefulness for wildlife, I often get the camera out and get up close and personal with the Wasps when they're on it !
