| | | Various tree idents Hello all,
I've got some idents here that I'd be grateful if you could cast your expert eyes over. I have an idea over what some may be, but I don't want to divulge yet as I don't want to influence your ideas.
Here they are:
1.
2.
3. [url=http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/archive/showphoto.php?photo=179454] [/url (This was part of a pleached hedge)
4.
5.
Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Regards

2. May be a Garrya elliptica
4. Is a Juniper of some kind.

| | | Re: Various tree idents 1. Agree with Hedera - Cornus controversa "Variegata". A superb small tree.
2. Poss. Evergreen Oak, of which there are very many kinds. Don't think it's Garrya, as that doesn't have a serrated edge to the leaf.
3. Agree with posch. It's a Laburnum.
4. Juniper?
5. Looks like a Lime.

| | | Re: Various tree idents Thanks all,
I thought the second maybe a Phillyrea.
Any takers?
I had the third down as a Laburnum but never seen them pleached before. Juniper was also on my list.
Thanks, Bes |

And I think I've cracked the last one. It's a Catalpa bignonioides.
Thanks again for your help.
