Watercress

Can someone advise if watercress can grow out of water please? I have a plant growing at the side of my pond, not in the water but normal soil and it looks very much like watercress. I did have some watercress in the pond earlier on in the year so some seeds may have dropped onto the soil. I don't want to pull it out but need to know how invasive it may get around the pond.

Yes, as long as the soil is continually damp, but not stagnant, it will cope quite well. A bit of lime in the soil will help.
