| | | Unknown Shrub: ID please. Can anyone identify this deciduous shrub, growing in the north of England. I'm told that it doesn't ever seem to have flowered..

| | | Re: Unknown Shrub: ID please. It looks like the 'Root-stock' of an Apple or Plum. That is the original grafted plant has died and the root-stock has taken over, (this is not uncommon). Such plants are not grown for their flowers or fruit but for their suitability to take the grafted plant.
