| | | unidentified flower ffrom Grisedale (Ullswater, Cumbria)
Just going through my photographs taken on a July trip to the Lake District I came across this one of a very small white flower growing amongst grasses in the valley bottom of Grisedale. Close by were Saxifraga aizoides and Saxifraga stellaris.. I realise this photograph may not provide sufficient information for an id, but perhaps someone may recognise it? (please!),
many thanks

IanF | It may be Sagina nodosa (knotted pearlwort), it looks quite wet, was it? |

| | | Re: unidentified flower ffrom Grisedale (Ullswater, Cumbria) Hi there, and welcome to WAB! Thanks for this suggestion, and you may well be correct given the habitat - it was damp grassy/mossy near a stream. However, having another look at the flower and the general morphology I'm probably going to stick with fairy flax (I do regret not taking a better photograph or a small specimen!),
best wishes
