Afternoon all,
I was passing a woodland glade the other day, when I happened to look down. I never expect anything special to be growing as the area isn't really coppiced sufficiently. Anyway - I saw this plant that looked quite interesting; a comparatively-thick green stem quite healthy-looking with no leaves or anything - just a bunch of fat and slightly elongate berries sprouting from the top of the stem itself.
Any ideas? Thanks for looking - apologies for no photos

Ah, looks a good call! Funny, for the last two years I've seen plenty of the foliage growing but just never the flower. Now I see it blooming but without (as I recall) any foliage! | | |
