| | | Identification please My son who is on holiday in the Lake District has sent me this flower picture to identify.
He hasn't told me the height of it. Can't find anything like it in my book.
Could it be a garden escapee?
Many thanks in advance.

| | | Re: Identification please It's one of the very many confusing Michaelmas Daisy group, Aster sp which includes various species, hybrids + cultivars which are largely of North American origin.
Without a specimen to work through keys I think any precise ID will be speculative.
Very popular flowers with a variety of insects. |

| | | Re: Identification please Hi,
Many thanks for the prompt reply. So it's definitely not a wild flower then? |

They are technically known as neophytes which are plants established in the wild since 1500. |
