This was taken today next to a cornfield near Hetton le Hole. I'm sure it's Rosebay Willowherb but the size, shape and colour of the petals are strange. Would anyone be prepared to comment please?
I have noticed that an in focus hoverfly has intruded to the right! |

Agree it's a Rosebay Willowherb- an attractive variation. there are also white forms which I've seen planted in gardens. |

Thanks a lot. It stood out as being a bit different and attractive. The presence of the hoverfly was a accidental bonus. |

They're quite numerous at the moment. |
