| | | Psalm Tree. Hello members.
Is there anyone come across psalms sprouting from lower trunk, after losing all top growth after extremely cold winds. My question can the side growths be cut off and potted on.
Thank you all, Danny. |

| | | Re: Psalm Tree. Danny, your tree is a Cabbage Palm - Cordyline australis and it is not uncommon for them to sprout shoots from the side of the trunk or from below the ground.
This will often happen if the main part of the tree has suffered a shock from cold or extreme drought.
They can be removed and grown into new trees, particularly those shoots from below ground. Just cut them off, making sure you have a piece of stem or root with the leaves.

Dorts. | Thank you Dorts, I am going to try that, and see if I can. I was supprised that I lost every psalm (4). I have had them for years.
