| | | 1 plant 2 flowers for id if poss please. Hi can anyone help with these three please.
Went back today to a wildflower meadow to take the last pickies of the common spotted orchids. noticed several clumps of this. it wasnt there a week ago. id please.
Not the best of pictures but it was in a field full of frisky horses. growing on very rough ground mainly stones and manure on top of heavy clay soil. A very common flower i am sure but i still cannot id it.
Is this great plantain plantago major?. taken today growing in heavy clay soil in a field margin between two arrable fields. the flower spikes were about 1 foot tall with about the top 8 inches covered in florrets. the close up picture is of a small stem.
regards tn.
