any ideas on these malformed plantains
Hi can anyone shed some light on these please. i walked past a large clump of plantains today and noticed several individuals were malformed. Is this due to the odd weather? or just a quirk of nature? or disease or what?. I do not think i have seen anything like this before.

TN. It looks to me like the work of a Ribwort Plantain Gall, caused by a micro-moth called Tortrix paleana.
