| | Unknown white flower help! Hi all,
this has me perplexed - Ive labelled it Helleboreish, but thats only as the leaves were a bit similar as they were cut, not the flower.
On wettish ground in a woodland ride, no gardens nearby, but there has been tipping in past years so an escape, naturalised?
About 18'' tall, the only plant there.
I've got a date with some fungi there tomorrow,so I'll try for decent pics of this too as its nearby - I was in a rush this moning...................
I'm sure it must be obvious. Help!
Cheers
Ken

| | | Re: Unknown white flower help! Ken, it's Astrantia - Astrantia major. Sometimes called Masterwort. Now naturalised in woodlands around the country.

| | | Re: Unknown white flower help! later edit - just to add, handbook of garden plants has only a few varieties, including A. Maxima (A. helleborifolia), so I was getting there with Hellebore leaves..................
