Very short plant ID

Hi All
I was walking on Harting down today and came across this plant its about 2 inches tall
I've not seen it before and wondered what it was

Hi Cogs, it's a Wild Rose plant with a 'Robin's Pin-cushion' growing on it. A growth caused by a gall wasp Diplolepis rosae. Very attractive and often thought to be a flower.

Definitely one of the prettiest galls.
