| | | Re: poppy fields 2011 The yellow flowers are Corn Marigolds, the blue ones are Cornflowers, and the lilac flower is Corn-cockle.
Wonderfull display of cornfield-weeds.

| | | Re: poppy fields 2011 Cheers Dorts, they aren't even in my very poor field guide to wild flowers (note to self: get a decent one!). I also thought I spotted the odd snakes-head fritillary in the field.
As you can see from pic 3 there are a lot more poppies about to flower so given some fine weather the meadow should be even more magnificent.
