| | | Strange Pea Found this in the acid bog below our house here in Snowdonia. Flowers tending towards Bitter Vetch - Lathyrus linifolius. But leaves far too narrow and growing in a peat bog? Also no tendrils so that probably rules out Vetch ( Vicia). Could be an 'ecotype' perhaps?
I'm sure I have come across this before in bogs but my brain is just not working today?
All thoughts welcome.

Yes, I did think of that and it's certainly a possibility, but Lathyrus palustris has tendrils and usually quite broad leaves and tends to prefer marsh rather than bog. I agree flowers can be similar.

I've just 'googled' Marsh Pea and although most pics show the normal broad leaves, some pics do show plants with very narrow leaves, but with tendrils. So I'll go and take another look to see if I've missed them.
