| | | Poppy field locations 2011 My annual thread asking for people to post locations of poppy fields. Probably still a bit early for them, but if you do see one please post the location here.
Personally the poppy is my favorite wild flower, and I love shooting poppy fields. I am on the London/Surrey border so would be looking for poppy fields in Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire etc.

| | | Re: Poppy field locations 2011 Hi
Can't help with Berks I'm afraid but Oliver's Castle Hill Fort - Wiltshire rear of the Point (bit of a blunt point tho') is a large field and Poppies spring yearly there. The path along the side of the field allows access and is lower than the field. I got some good shots last year.
There is a car park leading onto the path alongside some wood. careful of the drop-off!! Location details:
SMR Number SU06SW200
Site Name Olivers Castle
Grid Ref SU00106468
Parish Bromham
District Kennet
X Y Grid Ref 400100, 164680
Altitude 198.12 metres

| | | Re: Poppy field locations 2011 The only one I have found, and visited, is near Winchester. It is a massive field of poppies - and was looking good on the 14th June 2011.
Find it here
