sand sedge ?
I think this is a sedge (triangular stem) now flowering on crumbling sandy cliffs near Sandown, IoW, and I'm thinking it's sand sedge Carex arenaria - does that look right?

Flower-head looks good for Carex arenaria, and I see plenty of creeping-roots. So I'd give it a yes for Sand Sedge from what |I can see from your photo.
There are certainly plenty of good recent records for the IoW.
