| | | Looking for Early Purple Orchids in Kent Greetings Forumees,
My first post here and I am hoping that keen flower spotters can help me find some good sites for Early Purple Orchids in Kent. Ideally in the north west area since I have to rely on public transport, but anywhere that is even moderately reachable is fine (makes for a good day trip.)
Thanks for reading,

Thanks for reading,
Jay | Jay, a warm welcome to WAB. Can't help you with the Early Purples I'm afraid, but I'm sure someone will. Kent is a great county for orchids, many different species there as you probably know.
All the best,
Dorts. |

| | | Re: Looking for Early Purple Orchids in Kent Hi there,
I've seen Early Purple Orchids growing in rather large numbers at both Park Gate Down and Yocklett's Bank (both of which also contain much rarer species, such lady and fly orchids which should be coming into flower around now). I'm sure there will be hundreds of other sites but these are the only ones I can confirm!

| | | Re: Looking for Early Purple Orchids in Kent Many thanks for the warm welcome and the useful reply.
I actually made my first ever trip to Park Gate Down last summer. Absolutely awash with Fragrant Orchids, an amazing sight. Looks like a return visit is in order then.
Cheers!
