What could this be?

I spotted this feathery ferny leafed plant coming up in my garden. It may have hitched a ride with the violets I bought, or maybe from the pine needle mulch. Any ideas what it could be?

Looks like Tansey, an old medicinal garden herb; not unattractive with clusters of small yellow 'button'-like flowers. You'll soon know if I'm right by crushing and smelling a leaf. Tansey has a very strong, pungent smell.

Thanks, I think you could be right. It does have a strong medicinal smell, quite pleasant. I think I'll move it elsewhere in the garden though!

A great plant but a bit of thug, spreading through underground rhizomes - give it plenty of room.
