Hello, I've got two species for identification here If anyone would be kind enough to help me!
There's quite an abundant plant which grows around here which I thought could be bistort but am unsure since I have no identification guide!
I've also found what I think is Plantago lanceolata...

Don't know what it is, but it doesn't look like Bistort, which is much more lanceolate and narrower. Your other plant is Ribwort Plantain as you suggest.

I think 1. could well be Common Bistort - Persicaria bistorta, you will soon know if and when those large pink flowers emerge, a lovely plant.
2. I agree with Adam, Ribwort Plantain.

Adam | Are you thinking of Amphibious Bistort, Adam? I agree with Dorts that Common Bistort looks likely.
