Mine are only just starting to open and so I've only got four open bells at the moment

My patch is open marshland, lots of grass, ditches and reed beds. Not a single tree in sight so not the place for Bluebells.
The entrance track to the marsh has a hedge and a dry ditch to the side and I was surprised to see a single Bluebell growing on the ditch bank.
Makes you wonder how it got there, the nearest Bluebell wood is 14 or 15 miles away as the crow flies.



There are no Bluebell woods on Sheppey but visit to a friends estate on the mainland last week gave me the opportunity to take walk through some woodland. A pleasant change of scenery and so beautiful at this time of the year.
