[ID] Coarse bush/tuft - grass?
Afternoon all,

I was out beating for invertebrates today. Along the way I came across this, which produced a Lygaeid bug.

Grassy-bush
30ins-across

Wha sort of busy-tufty-thing is it, please? It's about 30ins across, and half-way along the stems measure 14mm wide. It's quite tough and tends to rustle, and seems pretty dry. Found on brownfield land.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Looks like a Pendulous Sedge, Carex pendula, Jason. I guess it is a sedge of some sort.

Try Pendulous Sedge - Carex pendula.
