| | | Stinking Iris help! Has anyone had experience of growing Stinking Iris from seed?
Got hold of some of the 'berries' and would like to grow them on as we only have one plant on site. Do I stick them in the fridge to chill for a bit and then plant or has anyone had other more effective techniques.
Cheers,

| | | Re: Stinking Iris help! used to grow flag iris from seed at work, I guess it's the same??
Use 2010 seasons seed
Use seed compost
push the seeds down to about your first knuckle and cover over the hole Water
Keep the mice away as they love this seed.
Water but don't drown
They should grow well. If not then try again with seed from this years flowering but sow as soon as the seed are freshly popping out of their seed pods
good luck |

| | | Re: Stinking Iris help! Those in my garden came from some seeds that I just picked up several years ago. I planted them outside at this time of the year so they had an opportunity to 'overwinter' and germination was good. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
