Book on alpine flowers which one

Just got back from the alps and have some photos of alpine flowers I need to I'd can anyone sergest a good book on European alpine plants. Cheers for any surgestions.

Not sure if it's currently available, but I have:

Collins pocket guide to Alpine Flowers of Britain + Europe

by Christopher Grey-Wilson/Marjorie Blamey

Mine is a 2nd edition 1995

I too use the Collins book. I outline some other options below.

The Swiss Alpine Club do a very compact guide (available in English).

There is also Flora Vegetativa (plants not in flower), an expensive Flora Helvetica, and a very expensive 3-volume Flora Alpina. These are available from Summerfield Books or NHBS. I'm not immediately aware of guides to other parts of the Alps, although there are often local guides to common flowers.

There is a synoptic list of alpine flowers here: Systmatische Liste zur Flora der Alpen, and the author of this site is working towards an excursion fauna (keys) in German: Thomas Götz: Exkursionsflora der Alpen und angrenzender Gebiete.
