This morning waiting for the bank to open I heard a Goldfinch above me. As I looked up there were 7 Goldfinches eagerly extracting seeds from the globular fruits of a small London Plane. This is the first time I've ever observed this + the only other species I've seen feed on them have been Ring-necked Parakeet + Grey Squirrel.
Has anyone else had any observations of critters feeding on these seeds? The foliage tends to be untouched by insects, etc.
