| | | Which Tree in your garden attracted the most Birds today? I thought I'd start a thread on this, as the Peach at the bottom of my garden continues to amaze me.
The activity, most mornings, is absolutely crazy!

I've got some kind of laurel in the garden and when it was in flower last month it was absolutely heaving with flies and hoverwasps which attracted ever so many birds blue & great tits, starlings and willow warblers galore, I even got to watch 2 spotted flycatchers from my livingroom window for about half an hour stuffing themselves silly |

| | | Re: Which Tree in your garden attracted the most Birds today? We have many trees round here and none are particularly prefered except these Scot's Pines
which are a daytime roost for a number of Ravens. It's a real cacophony of sound all day before they fly off back to Anglesey for the night.
What enjoyable birds they are to have around.

| | | Re: Which Tree in your garden attracted the most Birds today? Usually they hang around in a huge Berberis in the fornt or in an elderberry in the back but since I have stopped feeding them they mostly hang out in an ash tree which is growing in the chicken run, they hang in here because they gorge on the layered chicken pellets . |

The birds fly between the peach, Holly & a very large hornbeam that is adjacent to my house.
The most visitors are a vast amount of:-
Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Great & Blue Tits, Dunnock, Robin, Sparrow, Blackbird, Starling, Collared Dove & Wood Pigeon.
Oh and the odd cat attempting a meal!

| | | Re: Which Tree in your garden attracted the most Birds today? Sadly I don't have a garden as such ...couple of raised beds and a plum tree and mortar baths for growing veg.........it's complicated! But around the corner from me there is a gorgeous Cotoneaster, which I took a pic of the other day loaded with berries, when I went to look today it was much less loaded, so I watched to see who was berry picking, it was the blackbirds, magpies and jackdaws mainly.
