I second that. The flowers of Bistort are more cylindrical, and not pyramidal as in Amphibious B. Also the leave of Bistort are a lot broader and less lanceolate than in Amphibious Bistort.

Agreed.

The terrestrial form of Amphibious Bistort often fools people, but that is definitely what this is.

I have only ever seen the amphibious bistort growing in water where the leaves were flat on the surface of the water....as illustrated in at least one of my texts. Am grateful to AlanS for his comment.
