| | | Re: Succulent for ID Don't know what its called Adam but they are very common, and surprisingly hardy! There is a big one flowering outside that has been out all winter! You'd probably find one labelled in any garden store with a lot of succulents. |

Your plant is Aloe variegata , probably the commonest 'houseplant' in Britain!

Dorts. | That honour would probably go to Spider Plants
Chlorophytum comosum

| | | Re: Succulent for ID Commonly called Lace aloe because of the extended ends of the leaves which lace together. They multiply easily, but are ideal for people who kill plants!

| | | Re: Succulent for ID As a collecter of cacti and succulent plants, at first i thought it was Haworthia attenuata var but now looking again i am inclined to agree with Dorts that it is Aloe aristata. Those and Gasteria are all related and sometimes it is difficult to tell them apart
Just for info, i does need to be living in soil, preferably John Innes No. 2 or 3 and a handfull of perlite to keep it from clogging, a nice sunny position, conservatory or greenhouse and gentle watering, they will put up with a lot of water but will eventually rot off so f you forget to water for a couple of weeks it wont come to much harm.
