Ribbed or tall Melilot and how do i tell the difference in the future please.

Hi Steve
That's Tall Melilot - Melilotus altissima.
A quick glance guide is: Deeper yellow flowers, (in Ribbed they are more lemon yellow). Leaves stalked: (on Ribbed they are generally un-stalked.)
But to be sure to make,a correct ID while in flower can be quite complicated.
It is necessary to understand the parts of the flower: the keel, the standard and the wings, which all vary in comparative length depending on the species.
