| | umbilifers Sorry if this has already been asked but Is there a good website or book that makes identifying the Umbilifers easy? None of the books I have are consistent, sometimes they show the leaf in close-up, sometimes the flower & sometimes neither! As,as far as I can see, flowers & leaves seem to be the best way of telling a lot of them apart it would be very useful if they showed both for each species. |

| | | Re: umbilifers "Umbellifers of the British Isles", by TG Tutin.
BSBI Handbook No.2.
ISBN 978-0-901158-02-4
Published 1980 (Reprinted 1999).
200 Pages, A5 size, softback.
Price approx £10.00 (can be obtained from NHBS, Summerfield Books, etc.)
Regards,
Mike. EDIT - The whole series of BSBI botanical handbooks are superb reference works, but I would suggest perhaps not for the beginner or faint hearted!
