is the hedge woundwort

The were lots of hedge woundwort where i took this photo,but a few plants appeared to have a flowering crown ,not a flowering spike like the many others .Is it still hedge woundwort

Yes, it is Hedge Woundwort. - Stachys sylvatica: sylvatica meaning
"of the woods". The leaves when crushed have a very pungent smell.
Once used as a poultice to treat wounds, and I'm told it works very well!

Many people don't like the smell, but I actually rather like it. Very pungent with a slightly medicinal quality to it.
