| | | Re: [ID] 3 brownfield plants, please! I don't know the first two Jason, but the third one is Hegde Woundwort - Stachys sylvatica.
Regards, Audrey.
Or maybe Ground Ivy, although it looks too tall, but on reflection the flower looks closer.

| | | Re: [ID] 3 brownfield plants, please! Are these all from the same site? If that is a willow, all three have medicinal properties. Quote:
Feverfew contains parthenolide, tanetin etc (used to treat headaches). S. caprea contains salicin (anti-inflammatory agent).
Black Horehound contains phenylpropanoids (used to treat nausea and morning sickness).
| You seem to have discovered a "garden" Culpeper himself would be proud of.

| | | Re: [ID] 3 brownfield plants, please! Certainly seem to have done! The area backs onto gardens and has obviously had fly-tipping ( from them, I imagine - hence all the escapes) in the past. Still, it's an excellent site invertebrate-wise and has good stands of Nettle, Thistles, Oak, Hawthorn, Buddleia...
Thanks both and all! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
