I've already tried this in the Trees forum but to no avail so I'll try my luck here.   
I took these pictures in early April. The nearest I can get is some kind of Elm but the leaves (sorry no good photo of these at the moment) don't really look right to me though I'm not great on trees so I could easily be wrong.  Anybody got any ideas? |

Have you been back to it recently? A good look at the leaves might help with ID now. |
