This is something I get confused about. I found this in "Help".

I think the resizing method is as individual as your photo manipulation software.

How do I upload images?
WAB only allows images from the Gallery or Image Library to be shown in forum posts - why?
To Upload Your Images in the Image Library

1. Click on the Images link at the top of the screen

2. Click on the 'Upload Photos' link and follow the instructions to upload your images
3. Your images should now appear on the front page of the image library, or click on the 'My Photos' link to view your recent uploads
To place your images in forum threads...

1. When starting a new thread or replying to a post, click in the text box where you would like to add your image (before, after, or in the middle of some of your text)
2 Click on the image library icon

A pop-up window will appear to show your recent image library uploads
3. Click on any of your images and photo input code will be added into your post
When you save your forum post, the code will change into a small clickable image that will link back to your large photo in the image library
Troubleshooting

Q. My images don't appear when I've uploaded them
A. Your images must have a filesize less than 0.5Mb (512kB) and preferably a lot smaller
Q. The photo input in my forum post is showing up as code and not as a clickable thumbnail
A. Check that you haven't added/deleted any characters in the original code, as this will break the link to your image library photo

Hi suziet and welcome to WAB.

There aren't many stipulations for uploading to the Image Library, and Images for identification and general forum use should always be uploaded there. (As the Gallery is for showcasing WAB's best Wildlife photos, and has very rigid rules on what is accepted, and the format/description of the photos).

This link explains in detail exactly how to upload to the Image Library. If you follow the instructions carefully, you shouldn't have a problem. Note that at the bottom of the linked post, there are also instructions detailing how to find your images again, and copy them into your forum posts.

If you have some good quality, fully identified photos, which you consider would make good additions to WAB's Gallery, the instructions for uploading there, are given here: -

Please note though, your photos will not be accepted by the Gallery Editor/Moderator if they don't meet the exact requirements.
