1. is Hedge Mustard - Sysimbrium officinale A common wayside weed.
2. is Ivy Broomrape - Orobanche hederae. A parasitic plant that is found on Ivy.
A good find, not common.

| | | Re: I.D Please Actually, the first photograph is Black Mustard, Brassica nigra, not Hedge Mustard. Local but sometimes abundant on roadside banks, wasteground, etc., more so in the west I think. Very conspicuous along many of the roadsides in Devon and Cornwall at the moment.
No problems with the Ivy Broomrape, but it is interesting to note that it seems not to occur on Common Ivy (Hedera helix), but only, in native situations, on Atlantic Ivy (Hedera hibernica), now regarded as a separate species. The host is coastal and western in its distribution and so is the broomrape (though recorded on other ivies in gardens).

Alan | Alan, you are of course spot on, Black Mustard is what I meant to say.
I,m afraid it's due to one of those mental blocks we occasionally get; thinking of one thing and saying something completely different!
Thanks for pointing it out.
