Just as an aside I've found that pollen from bought lily's stains orange and doesn't come off fingers or clothes, tablecloths etc its extremely durable  |

 On the site- Wissota woods/bookcases,shows a colour chart which has the colour for ---Antique willowherb and also willowherb .Might be of use . |

On the other hand.After looking up the dreaded invasive Himilayan balsam,I saw that a yellow dye can be produced from this plant.Could it have been where you were looking??? |

It's not Himalayan Balsam, which is one of the few wild flowers I know. |
