How do I go about this please | Planning department of the local Council. They usually have a tree officer who will be able to offer advice. TPOs normally only cover trees. Hedgerows have their own set of regulations. You could raise your concerns and ask them to check the hedgerow for it's quality under the Hedgerow Regulations Act. It would need to be high quality in terms of species, culture, history etc. though.
