| | | various flowers for id please me again! now its warmer there's certainly a lot more flowers about. got these today, got me stumped, though i've an idea about a couple of them
one side of a lane was a lot of cow parsely, on a grassy bank. the other side was where there is some crops growing which may be the reason for why these have me stumped - they might be just stumpy forms of cow parsley due to chemicals from the crops or something!
this one looked odd, as the flower head is quite clustered into one massive umbel, the leaves look similar to cow parsely, but this was very short - around 15-20cm, and had a very thick strong stem
this one was similar again, but also shorter than cow parsley, and the umbels were more widely spaced than CP. had a look in my books but hard to work out!
these yellow flowers i've seen in various places, usually wasteground or next to paths, or at least a similar species, but these were growing in a meadow, nice common blue butterfly thrown in there too for good measure!
cheers folks!

| | | Re: various flowers for id please Your first 2 photos do seem to show Cow Parsley.
The yellow flower is a small legume- can't see it well enough for 100% ID- probably Black Medick, if not Lesser Trefoil. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
