| | | Two flowers for ID These are now flowering, not sure the yellow one is a native, it was growing in the woodland area of the university, near snowdrops.

The yellow one looks like Eranthis hyemalis, the Winter Aconite.

| | | Re: Two flowers for ID 1 - winter aconite - no they aren't native but have become widely naturalised, the wild ones tend to be slightly smaller in all aspects I've found.

I'm not questioning you, just hoping to learn something useful - because E.cilicica is one of the plants I'd hoped to find this spring season, but I don't honestly know exactly what I'm looking for
This is a photo from Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, in February, of what I'd put down as E. hyemalis, and I can't see any great difference from what's posted here? |

In E. cilicica they are narrower than in E. hyemalis.
