| | | Re: Harts tongue fern? You're welcome Pam If you get into Ferns ,I find The Fern Guide:-A field guide to the ferns, clubmosses, quillworts and horsetails of the British Isles by James Merryweather and Michael Hill in the FSC AIDGAP series ,is very useful, and it is a cheapy.
If you want to ID ferns ,it becomes essential to know a bit about their structure, which is present(with good line drawings) in this book along with colour photos, and basic distribution maps.As colour plates in books often make ferns look much the same, which becomes confusing,I've been there.
Cheers Jason |

| | | Re: Harts tongue fern? Thanks Jason. I might look out for that, I started having a go at IDing flowers last year but may venture into fern territory as well. It`s nice to know what you are looking at
Well, just bought it, along with the British bugs & British spiders book!!!!!
Great books on there, thanks for telling me.
