| | [ID] Thistle? Evening all,
I found this Thistle-like sapling growing today, any ideas what it is please?
The area gets a lot of sun, and the general area is similar to brownfield.
Thanks for looking
Take care,
Jason |

Not sure I'd call it a sapling though- they tend to be young trees! |

OK, OK - See, what do I always do in the Wildflower forum? I go and make a fool of myself each time...

| | | Re: [ID] Thistle? That doesn't look like a thistle to me. I can't see any prickles. I would say groundsel or perhaps a cornflower. |

| | | Re: [ID] Thistle? Erm, a sapling is a young tree, which this certainly aint! I am sure I have seen a seed tray of these in a garden centre but I can't remember what they were. I think chrysanthemum family but can't go any further. Once it starts growing, another picture would be appreciated. Don't like unsolved riddles. Whorles are very difficult to identify especially from photographs. |
