And the labels given to plants in garden centres aren't always very accurate. I happened to call into a local garden centre this afternoon and, browsing briefly around, I spotted they'd mis-identified several species of alien snowdrop as our "wild" species, Balkan Anemone Anemone blanda was on sale as Blue Anemone A. apennina and what they had down as Coralberry (Symphoricarpos orbiculatus) was actually the hybrid S. x chenaultii.

Of course, it doesn't necessarily matter to a gardener - unless you want the plants to spread, because some of these cultivars are sterile hybrids.
