| | Where to get..... .....Butchers Broom and Spurge Laurel?
I have a wee shady corner in which I'd like to put these two fellows. Unfortunately I cannot seem to find any suppliers either local or internet based and wonderd if anyone could point me in the right direction or even have unwanted or dividable plants they could send me (not for free).
Thank you in advance,
Graeme |

Thank you in advance,
Graeme | Some years ago on a bird watching field outing I came across Butchers Broom growing on the edge of a ditch alongside an arable field.
This find was passed on to the County Plant Recorder who deemed it to be introduced even though it does occur naturally elsewhere within my County.
I note that it is illegal to remove a plant from the wild, but in a case such as this, would it still be illegal to split the plant and take home some rooted stems ?
I would hope and expect the law to have a blanket coverage as the average plant pincher would have no way of knowing (and wouldn't care) if the plant was natural or not.
