Ivy Pollen
Just as I was thinking the Summer was over the Ivy Flowered and has brought an array of Flies Bees Wasps Beetles and Butterflies into the garden. Yesterday the garden was Buzzing with Life and the Pond was covered with a thick covering of Ivy Pollen which the Fish seemed to be enjoying.

Can't say I've ever noticed It before.

Yes, it's probably the last big bonanza of nectar + pollen + as you say in a warm, sheltered place is alive with a variety of insects. Also worth checking at night when autumnal moths are attracted. Last weekend we saw several Snout Moths attracted +a Buff Ermine larva.
