Hi i would appreciate any help on this yellow flower,several have appeared in our garden,and are not thought to have been planted.Could be a bird-seed alien.Many thanks Jason  |

Really it needs a closer view of the flower, but it looks a bit like Small Balsam ( Impatiens parviflora). Google that and see if it matches up  |

Reminds me of what we called Mexican Four o'clock Plant. This has a scent. Can't remember its proper name. |

It is Marvel-of-Peru (Mirabilis jalapa) also known (as Hedera said) as 'Four o'clock'.
It is quite a common garden plant |

It's a very good groundcover plant, has flowers in all shades of yellow through to red sunset colours and a lovely scent.Will stand the winter if you cover it with leaves or something after it has died down. Spreads underground and doesn't like damp soil. Don't throw it out! |

Hi,thanks for your help,here is a closer view of the flower,which is closing up at this time of the day.I certainly had not seen it before now.I rather like this plant,what scent am I sniffing for,it smells strongly vegetative,you will have to educate my nose.Many thanks ,Jason.  |
