Spindle growing in the south would be covered in bright coral-pink fruits at the moment - here's some photographed on the IoW a week ago:

Rob | This rings a bell - Tristan PM'd me about a bug I found, and ID'd it as Pseudoloxops coccineus - a late-summer Ash-tree species... which I found nearby.
Are there any other things to look out for? Measurements, photos of leaf undersides, etc.? |

Doesn't look quite right for ash to me. Ash has black buds which are quite distinctive if you can look at the tree again Jason. |

It is probably worth mentioning that this is in fact one leaf divided into 13 leaflets rather than a branch with leaves. |

The Common Ash has a pinnate leaf with 9 to 13 leaflets, as here I think.
Ash leaf buds are black but would you expect to see any at this time of year?
The tree flowers before the leaves appear. If there are any bunches of ash keys (fruits) hanging about or on the ground nearby that would help.
