There should be black buds on ash at this time of year, there are on the ones in the garden anyway, I just checked.  |

Another possibility is a rowan sp. which can have lots of leaflets. |

But the Rowan has toothed leaflets, and would also have berries. Any chance of a pic of the whole tree, Jason? |

Definitely an Ash, fraxinus excelsior. been climbing them for two decades, no doubt in my mind!
It would have been better to have had the underside shot as well for future reference

ive had large ash trees in front of my house for years,infact they are huge.while at work we have a tree that im still not sure if its a small ash or a rowan.How can you seperate them folks ? The small one at work has no berries but i counted 15 leaves on one leaf branch. |
