A common wildflower?

I think this may be quite a common plant, but unfortunately I don't know what it is or even where to start. Any takers on a species ID for this?

It's Argentinian Vervain, Verbena bonariensis - not exactly common, but an increasing escape/casual especially in the south.

Thank you very much! And aeshna, after I took this picture, a Comma butterfly alighted, and stayed there a couple of minutes, having a drink, :-)
