| | | Re: leavs and berries Yes, you can. Click on " Gallery" at the top of the page, then "Upload Photos", then select "Upload to Image Gallery" by clicking the light blue and white panel. Don't worry about category, I always leave all mine in "unidentified"
To reassure you, though, there's no tree that I know of whose fruit, by eating a couple (or even more), would do you any serious harm. I'm 99.999% sure you'll have nothing to worry about |

| | | Re: leavs and berries They are some sort of Cotoneaster. I don't think they would cause much harm, but probably best to discourage your daughter from eating them |

| | | Re: leavs and berries If it's a type of Cotoneaster then all species have berries which are edible - as in, they have no direct toxic effects. However, the fruits of some of the "prostrate cotoneasters" ( C. horizontalis, rotundifolius etc) are a very powerful purgative, laxative and/or diuretic, which means if you eat enough of them you will be passing your output, through the eye of a needle, from either orifice...
Now, for someone of adult age it's not serious - a dose of the craps, basically. For a child, they can lose enough liquid fast enough to make it a medical emergency, so I'd always either dial 999 or take them to A&E asap. The berries have no long-term effect, but in the short-term it's not always pleasant |
