1 found in the new forest in a wetter area. It was a huge carpet and looks almost like a chamomile leaf, but there were no flowers. I think I knew this once upon a time but I've forgotten  any help?  
2 found in a dried up pond in wilts. I'm pretty sure it's just common knotgrass, but it was on its own, standing bolt upright and just looks slighlty strange

No 1 certainly looks like Hottonia palustris to me. If often grows like this on the edge of ponds.
